When I’m 64?

When I’m 64?

I’ve been waiting a while now, to sing this song to my daddy! And he tried a few times in the past years to scare us, to make us think the day would never come…

So, Dad…now that you are 64… heck, yeah, I still love ya! And your grand-daughter is WAY beyond knee bouncing age, to be sure…

No embarrassing photos this year… (those who missed can certainly look for last years post)

But hey, everyone!! If you want to wish Country Joe a happy day, go visit his website, and poke about and look at what kinds of treasures he offers up for sale….

There’s sure to be some oddity that you KNOW you can’t live your life without!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

When I’m 64 (click for you-tube audio)

When i get older losing my hair,
Many years from now.
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine.
If i’d been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When i’m sixty-four.
You’ll be older too,
And it you say the word,
I could stay with you.
I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride,
Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When i’m sixty-four.
Every summer we can rent a cottage,
In the isle of wight, if it’s not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera chuck & dave
Send me a postcard, drop me a line,
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer, fill in a form
Mine for evermore
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When i’m sixty-four.

ETA I was informed he is no longer DOING birthdays as all that happens is you get older…so, if you want to wish him a happy tuesday I suppose you would be good..
