Solomon’s Island, Md

Last week, Timmy and I took a day trip to a little place on the Patuxent River in Maryland called Solomon’s Island. It was a particularly hazy hot and humid day, so walking around was OUT of the question! We rented a 19 foot Bowrider for a two hour tour of the river.

Here are a few of the shots I took. Sticking with the theme of the year and my wildlife beach photos, note for your viewing pleasure the lovely JELLYFISH!!! Yikes, this water was thick with them!!!!

And an Osprey on the danger sign….
And a pelican on a piling….(somewhat different than a seagull in the harbor in NYC when on the ferry, no?)

We had dinner at a nice restaurant on the pier, and then walked around a bit, but the heat really did us in….

Next time, we go when the weather is a little less….oppresive!
